Anne Elizabeth McGowin, Attorney
In 2017, Anne Elizabeth formed Senior Law Solutions, LLC, an elder law and life care planning firm based in Montgomery, Alabama. Life Care Planning is a holistic approach assisting families with legal and health care planning. Both healthy families and families and those with challenges benefit from Life Care Planning.
Life Care Planning Law Firms (LCPLF) rely on an interdisciplinary team that works to identify present and potential legal and care needs and to assist in locating appropriate, high quality care, when necessary. Anne Elizabeth is active in Life Care Planning Law Firms Association (Membership and Marketing Committee) and National Association of Elder Law and Special Needs Attorneys [“NAELA” State Chapter Advocacy Committee]. Stephanie Stephens, Care Advisor
Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Fayetteville Technical Community College in North Carolina. She has practiced as a Registered Nurse in all areas including Medical Oncology with Cape Fear Valley Health Systems in NC, Geriatrics, and case management with St. Joseph’s of the Pines in NC, a PACE program (Progressive All-inclusive Care for the Elderly).
Her love for the older adult population is what brought her to Senior Law Solutions as a Care Advisor. Her belief is that all people need an advocate for them when they cannot advocate for themselves and that good healthcare sometimes has to be advocated for.
Stephanie is married to Tyler Stephens and they have three small boys. She is an active member of Taylor Road Baptist Church where she serves as a member in the church choir, along with the children’s and women’s ministries.
Rae DeLong, Care Advisor
Rae received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from University of Maine in 1976. Her nursing career included active duty Navy Nurse Corps and Air Force Reserves Flight Nurse Corps and civilian positions with direct patient care in hospital and community based settings, including home health care and hospice care.
Rae joined the team at Senior Law Solutions in 2021 because of the team approach and sincere desire to assist individuals and families in planning for and navigating their health care needs.
Rae has two grown children and two grown rescue terriers. She is a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Prattville where she is serves on the Parish Counsel, the Bereavement ministry and Mary’s Haven, a nonprofit organization supporting pregnant women. Rae also enjoys traveling in her motor home to explore and appreciate our beautiful USA and Canada.
Rebecca Oates, Paralegal
Rebecca joined Senior Law Solutions in March 2022, as paralegal to Anne Elizabeth McGowin. She earned a general clerical certification from John M. Patterson Vocational Technical School (Montgomery), earned her bachelor's degree from Auburn University (Montgomery), earned her master's degree from Troy University (Montgomery), and earned her J.D. degree from Jones School of Law, Faulkner University (Montgomery).
Rebecca joined the team to help be an advocate for those who do not have one. She is also a volunteer for Encompass Hospice.
Rebecca has one grown son and three furbabies. She is an active charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Ann Longshore, Senior Advisor
Ann was born and raised in Paducah, KY. She attended college in Roanoke, VA at Hollins College.
She came to Montgomery, AL to visit her college roommate, where she met her husband Jere Longshore. They were married for 60 wonderful years and they had four children. She currently has nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with another on the way. She is very active with her family.
Ann is very involved with Respite at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, AL. She volunteers there two days a week to assist seniors with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She is an active member of her church, The Church of the Ascension. She is also very passionate about the Special Olympics and she volunteers for them frequently as well.
